Welcome to the Capitol District of the Heart of Virginia Council's Blog.  This will be updated weekly with pictures and videos of what other units are doing and with information about happenings at the Camps, Council, and District. Shoutouts
Congratulations to Nick Minetti who received the Commissioner's Key Award at the December Roundtable! His work with Capitol District and with Troop 429 has been truly exceptional.

Scoutmaster Outdoor Training
Capitol Distict will be running the Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Outdoor Training program February 25th and 26th at Camp T. Brady Saunders.  All Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters are required to have gone through the Outdoor Training.  To sign up go to doubleknot.com (the link is in the Scouting Links toolbar)

Roundtable
Roundtables are conducted the first Tuesday of every month at the First Baptist Church on Monument Ave.  Meet other Scouters and share ideas! The next Roundtable will be January 3rd at 7PM.
